Founder, Club K-9 & Feline Pet Sitting

Carol Cooper, the founder of Club K-9 & Feline Pet Sitting, is a pet professional with over 13 years of experience providing high quality, reliable care to pets and the people who love them. She holds a certification in Pet First Aid & CPR. In addition, she is a member of Pet Sitters International. She and her business are also bonded and insured.

Carol began her career in the U.S. Navy in 1980 as an aviation weather observer and forecaster. Following her separation from Navy, she received an MBA degree from the University of Pittsburgh and pursued a career as a corporate tax accountant for over 15 years. In 2006, she founded Club K-9 & Feline Pet Sitting with the goal of providing compassionate, professional pet care services to clients in Saratoga County, NY. She is passionate about offering the very best care possible and she treats each pet as if they were a member of her own family.

When not caring for other people’s pets, Carol spends time with her own furry family, including Fenway, a Yellow Labrador Retriever, as well as her human family and friends. She also volunteers her time at the Saratoga County Animal Shelter, and enjoys travel and cooking.

In the Beginning

After over 15 years in corporate tax accounting, the time had finally come to follow my dream of working with animals and doing what I love to do. I needed to feel like I was making a difference in the lives of others. I needed to run with the pack. I needed to roll around on the ground with all types of dogs and get big, wet, slobbery kisses all over my face. So on that cool October day in 2006, I ditched my corporate attire, put on my sneakers and jeans and began to search for furry walking companions.

Core Values

Club K-9 & Feline Pet Sitting was founded on one primary principle: to provide the finest possible care for dogs. And cats. And the occasional horse, ferret, rabbit, chickens…anything with fur, feathers, fins or scales. While snakes and reptiles are not wholly excluded…they must be of the vegan persuasion.

This is a Veteran owned and operated company. So when I say that honesty and integrity are core values of the business it is rooted in the service to our country.

  • Compassion – nurturing tenderness
  • Relationships – an authentic kinship with animals
  • Accountability – responsible, exceptional service
  • Integrity – doing the right thing and always being honest
  • Community – giving back
